Additional hardware service options from Apple

The AppleCare protection plan offers up to three years of additional hardware service options through Apple authorized technicians and covers both spare parts and working hours. The plan is the perfect solution – whether you're working at home or traveling with your Mac. Apple hardware protection includes:

  • Battery (4)
  • Supplied accessories such as the power supply
  • Apple memory (RAM)
  • AirPort (5)
  • Apple USB Super Drive
  • Apple display purchased together with the Mac
Recommended Accessories:

(1) Battery life for playing movies with the Apple TV app. Battery life varies depending on use and configuration. Further information at apple.com/batteries.

(2) The displays of the 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro have rounded corners at the top. Measured as a standard rectangle, the displays have a diagonal of 14.2″ (35.97 cm) and 16.2″ (41.05 cm). The actual visible display area is smaller.

(3) The availability of individual support options depends on the country in which the service is requested and the location of the Apple Authorized Service Provider. Apple may also require that easy-to-install components (DIY components, do-it-yourself) be replaced by the customer.

(4) The AppleCare Protection Plan must be purchased within 12 months of the original purchase date of the Mac and provides additional service options for up to three years from the original purchase date of the Mac. Service is only available for the Mac and/or Apple Display and original accessories that are (i) defective in materials or workmanship, and (ii) batteries that perform at less than 80% of their original capacity.

(5) AirPort must be purchased within two years prior to the purchase of the Mac or during the term of the AppleCare Protection Plan.
